The Little Bakery came onto the Rochester
scene in late 1999 with the combined vision of restaurateur Gerry
Vorrasi and Pastry Chef Aaron Smith. Their vision was simple; to
provide the Rochester area with the best baked goods available.
Aaron and his team of talented artisans have succeeded and set
the standard for what Rochestarians should expect. Three years
running, the Little Bakery has been voted “Best Baked Goods” by
the readers of City Paper.
Our rustic loaves contain
only the finest locally milled flours and the freshest ingredients,
always preservative free. Created
using methods that have been proven
over time. We believe that every loaf should represent our finest technique
and creativity. We rely on our own natural starters and minimize
the use and taste
of commercial yeast. Our loaves rise slowly in a controlled environment so
the fullest flavor and texture are attained.
Our pastries are
handmade with great care and understanding. Real unsalted butter
and fresh eggs make our French Brioche authentic and flavorful.
Our
Sweet Milk
Scones are made moist and delicious with whole milk and butter. We value
and honor the process of creation that distinguishes our craft
as an art.
